LocalFest (banner image missing)

Here,s one for the localfest, Dougie MacLean came from a place not far up the road from me, Dunblane, this song was probably made famous by Frankie Millar when it was used in an ad for lager, but I liked the original better. He also wrote a great instrumental called The Gael which was the theme to the film, The Last Of The Mohicans.
I,ve kep,t this simple, just one guitar and three vox tracks, hope you enjoy it.

Not familiar with this song (guess that's the idea of Localfest! :D), but this is great, love the use of the three vocals, it gives it such a full sound.

Really enjoyed this one John.

I love this song! The only reason I know it is that our own Ronniejm posted a cover of it here a few years ago. I'd never heard it before then. Now I have two great (and different) versions of this wonderful song to listen to. Well done, and thanks for posting it.

Immense John.....I have heard this song many times, many, the local East Coast Canadian bands do this one up a lot, it is almost like a classic around here, you hear it all the time, and to think it was written by a bloke up the road from where you live, thats pretty cool.  Fantastic job.

Brilliant John, nice to hear something with a real "local" feel. Lovely vocals, great harmonies and the simple presentation works well.
