Okay we had bassists and guitarists but how about drummers?

I purposely titled this thread "favourite" instead of "best" as I'm sure we all have different tastes.

Here's my top 10 11:

Ringo Starr - Beatles

John Wright - nomeansno

Topper Headon - The Clash

Glenn Kotche - Wilco

Max Roach - Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, etc.

Levon Helm - The Band

Justin Peroff - Broken Social Scene

Stewart Copeland - The Police

Charlie Watts - Rolling Stones

Mike Diamond - Beastie Boys

David Lovering - Pixies

Ron Bushy deserves an honourable mention for the most well-known drum solo...

I love the tone of his drums.
