This is the closer.

Sorry folks...

It ends on a cliffhanger...

Tune in next time!

Thanks again and have a great weekend!

This one could be really epic sounding with further instrumentation.  I am thinking about Witchata and his soaring guitar solong work (think Gilmore), Flashharry with his fine Tony Levin bass work, and of course some drums from the onboard drum tracks.  That is the way I hear this song.  The subject matter seems to need a more fuller sound to invoke the cosmic angst that you are talking about.  Do you have an electric guitar?  You can do wonders with using other tracks and bouncing, etc to fill out a sound (plus it is a lot of fun to construct this way).  Just my two cents worth, but I think that you would really have something here if you fleshed it all out, you know what I mean.

Hey I`m all for it.

I`d love to hear this at it`s potential.

Thanks!

Hey Fuzz.

Congratulations on the completion of  your album.

I haven't heard Axl Rose's new album, but I feel that from prior experience I will prefer your superb new collection far more than I will enjoy his. In fact I can probably say without fear of contradiction that I will never listen to his new work, whereas I will put your album into the car and I will listen to it on my journeys to work and my journeys from work.

Once again, congratulations, and I love the sound of the bongos on track 3. Were they just for me?

Yeah it was pretty bold of Axl to go ahead and release his album on the same day as me.  Gotta at least respect him for being gutsy.

Seriously though it's pretty encouraging to hear that you listened to it and will listen to it again.

I'll let you know once I go back and fix some of the mistakes. I'll probably be George Lucas and keep re-releasing new cuts of the same material for decades to come.

As for the bongos, I was telling myself, "Come on, man... make Flash Harry proud."

If you are going to tweak why not try to flesh these out some more.  Use those extra tracks and fill out the sound.  Go get a inexpensive bass and add some ( I just got a reasonably good bass for $150 for this very thing, to add some bottom end to my song ideas - the bass adds so much to the sound).  Get a hold of an Electric (buy or borrow) and go for it.  Tinker, layer, bounce, fill up some of those V-tracks.  It is very addictive.  Just my 2 cents worth.  I just think that these songs would have power if filled out like that.

I agree.  I own an electric guitar.  I just resisted it this long because to me an electric needs minimum a distortion pedal, a wah-wah pedal, a compressor, and of course as you mention a bass guitar and a drum set.

So far everything here was recorded while sitting on my bed.  For me to take this to the next level I'll need to move off the bed and into the dining room.

Bluesberry

You can stay on the bed if you like.  All the effects you need are in the microBR as far as that goes (except for WAH-WAH).  Just listen to the gorgeous tone witchata is getting with his guitar straight into the little box (of course he can play like a demon also).  Just suggestions but it really is a lot of fun to add these other sounds, and it takes your song in a totally unexpected direction (in a good way sometimes) in this way.  As far as bass, it really adds to the sound if you can get one and it is really fun to learn to play (even if only simple stuff), plus it improves your guitar playing to play the bass a bit.  I admire your confidence in sharing your songs, these are very personal.

Beds are great for writing a song, but the dining room / kitchen table is where it's at for recording! Play standing up, with the BR on the table in front of you. You can get the guitar's soundhole nice and close to the mic like that (if you're using the internal mic...). A stack of books can deal with any minor height adjustments.

Just a thought, 'cause it works for me!  ;)

First track on the OTD jukebox.

Not heard this one before (before my SC time) but really enjoyed it.  I've always loved your work, Trevor.
