Okay so i tried what i could to rig up something to the bottom of the button and i what i did was
stuck a tac in the bottom which actually had a lot of room.It was all plastic.

I then cut the end of the tack and filed it down so it wasn`t so sharp. I put it back together but the
problem is the button didn`t have any bounce up and down so it was a FAIL.

At this point i didn`t want to waste any more time so i cut the button off and now its an open hole.
I now am using a screwdriver to control it. But it really isn`t too bad. It still records, mixes and masters the same it always did so i`m not gonna complain. I guess it gives me an excuse to buy an 800 in the future

The photo of the Mbr board inside shows the missing dome. i have a red circle around it and the after pic of my mbr with the value button missing.


I never hit that button any different than the others in over 1 year i`ve used it so i`m thinking this is just a grin and bear it thing that happens sometimes.

Anyways, i hope i can help a bit if this happens to anyone. I wouldn`t discourage anyone to not try and get it repaired. It can be i`m sure but for me to pay the money? and have to wait and not have it when i have tunes on the go wasn`t worth it to me in the end.

Ahh, I see what you mean now. It's too bad you couldn't get one of those button tops from Boss - Repeated screwdriver use might scratch it too badly for repair later.

I actually use an awl now but i put a piece of eraser on the end so its softer and wont damage it.

I probably could get a new buton dome for it but i have no idea how it is fastened on there.

Its not soldered or is it? Does anyone know?
