One I did a few years ago with a couple of friends.  Spent most of a summer recording bits of it at a time.  I am posting this because a couple of people have mentioned Kevin Gilbert in the past on these forums and he's my favourite songwriter.  It sounds a little dated, but it is an 80s song.  This is one of his lesser-known ones, even to people who knew who the heck he was.

Neil: Drums and backing vox
Tim: Bass
Gene: guitar solo
Me: Vocals, backing vocals, keyboards, guitar, mixing, producing

Hope you like.

That's about as pro sounding as I've ever heard on this site.  Fantastic job.

I was just working out the opening tune of his Shaming of the True for an open mic night.

That album is always choice #1 when people tell me to compile my desert island discs.

Glad you liked it!  Maybe someday I will cover the song after which I am named.

Wow. This is total class. I have to second what Blooby said: this is as tight and professional-sounding as anything we've ever heard on here. I've never heard the original, but on the strength of this, I'm going to check him out. What a song. Kind of reminds me of Mike and the Mechanics... a bit of Paul Carrack on the vocal.

OK... onto my second listen. This is so f*cking awesome!
