It Is What It Is

I've been participating in FAWM (fawm.org - 14 songs in 28 days). It's my 4th time doing it. This is the best one I've come up with so far.
My wife and I watch "The Bachelor" every Monday night - the contestants are fond of saying "It is what it is" to describe their unusual relationships. And sadly, I believe it has crept into my everyday conversations, too.

This Bible's from my Grandma on the day that I was born
Now it's got some pages missing, it's tattered and it's worn
I try to follow it just enough but I don't believe a lot

Yeah good good song, Piggy did SAW last year and his material and performances just got stronger and more polished as the year went on finishing on a real gem. From the level you're starting at (and I think this song is great) we're all going to be in for a real treat.........Willie
