this is my big pal stix diamond finally getting around to writing again, he dug out his old zoom recorder and is slowly finding his way around it, he asked me to post this here for some feedback as he is not the greatest on computers but i hope to talk him into joining.
he is obviously getting a buzz from writing again, all instruments and vocals are by him recorded and produced on his old zoom recorder, i'll get more info on equipment used when i can.
i think he has done a pretty good job on this recording and if this is what he can achieve finding his way around his recorder i cant wait to hear what he does when he gets to grips with it.

What a great song. I hear everything perfectly. Stix? When you joining the Music Hall of Justice?
Great pro vocals!! I really like that guitar solo. I`d like to know how you recorded it...did you mic an amp or is it a patch?

Thanks for posting!

Nice one Stix - come and join us! :)

Sounds to me like you've got some previous, certainly on the writing/arranging/performing front. I was roughly in that state when I found this place. Didn't want to get involved in band stuff anymore but wanted to create. I'd dabbled in the home recording but it didn't get me too far - I'd make something once in a blue moon, wouldn't be completely satisifed with it, and only 1 or 2 people would get to hear it anyway. This place does wonders for someone like that - I've recorded more (and improved more) in the last couple of years than I did in 10-15 years of @rsing about in empty gigs.

Either that, or you're a complete natural, and we're all insanely jealous... but we still want hear everything else you've got!

Excellent track - do more, let us hear it :)

hi andy i'm trying to get stix to join, he gigs regularly and has a lot of previous, but i will let him tell you all about that himself if i can get him to join. i played him your song 120 pound this morning and he said "that's what i want my stuff to sound like" he was blown away by your song.

Thanx for passing that on :)

Yep, tell him this is the place to be. Not sure what it might do to someone who is gigging regularly with other guys - if I'd had this outlet 10-15 years ago, I might have packed in the band I was with a lot earlier! But for creating and learning to record and find the sounds in your head, this place is the best thing that's happened to me in my, er, "musical career" :D
