LESTG posted a fine instrumental version of this song a while back and inspired me to spend some time with it. His fingerpicking is more elegant than my approach, so I encourage you to check his out.

An electric version of this tune showed up on Brothers and Sisters by The Allman Brothers, but this acoustic version I believe only showed up on a somewhat obscure CD compilation (I think called One More Try and still available used) that was quickly pulled from the shelves due to some copyright issues.

I would tend to agree with that..Soulshine was outstanding, and for me, this is right up there with it. Don't know the original, or any Greg Allman material...perhaps I need to after this

Beautiful. So simple but wonderful. Love the little harmonics you casually throw in (and make it sound easy, which I know it's not!). I don't know the original, but it didn't detract from the total listening pleasure. Awesome stuff.
