'Just a Song' Greeny Original

[Greeny]

Telecaster, Acoustic, Bass and Vocals all done on the MBR. This descending riff is a particular favourite of mine. It's not very original - it's pretty close to the George Harrison bridge part in Cream's 'Badge', Thunderclap Newman's 'Something in the Air' (which I namecheck in the lyric), and lots of other songs besides. I've been playing it for many years in different incarnations, but this is the original way I did it many years ago when I finally started playing guitar properly. I left this song behind for a while, but it's back now - a mere 2:55 long, with new lyrics.

There's a bit on the bridge that I've never pulled off on any other song - it's just a G chord going into an E chord, but it sounds so right and wrong at the same time.

The songwriting, the guitar melodies, vocal and harmonies are top notch here once again, but the real stand out here are the lyrics...pure poetry!
