inspired by some videos 64guitars posted of sparks in particular the song "no1 song in heaven".

well heaven is a place i wont ever be visiting unless there is a bar by that name, it seems a pretty exclusive place you have to be "selected" to get in.

Actually, cuthbert posted that one. I posted a couple of others from the same album.

Anyway, cool song. That Juno sounds great. I especially like the bass notes.

Did I hear a reference to Kimono My House in the lyrics? That was another good Sparks album. I especially liked This Town Ain't Big Enough for Both of Us and Talent is an Asset.

I heard that reference, too! Also, there seems like there might have been a reference to 'Here In Heaven' from the same album...or did I just dream that?  ;D

Kimono My House is my absolute favorite Sparks album - in fact, Martin Gordon plays some of the best bass I've ever heard in any recording on this album, and Adrian Fisher & Dinky Diamond, respectively on lead guitar and drums, ain't bad, either.

Back to this song though - fantastic, Jim! I like that squawking that's most prominent in the beginning, and those Juno pads/strings sound icy. Love the Sparks references all over this, and it's a fine emuFest entry!

Your vocal is superb in this Jim!...what a range you have.

As usual the combination of your vocal and that cool sound of the Juno works perfectly, and produces a dreamy dance groove.

Fantastic!

Cool as f*ck. There's a whole other world inside this song. Fantastic. And it's a real grower too.
