Wow Ronnie this is stunning !!!

Great performance!! And the recording is really fab. Did you use the internal mics on the 800?
Quote from: Ronniejm on February 05, 2011, 06:20:09 PMIts just me and my guitar just now, with harmonies supplied by the 800, (not sure about them now) Ive listened to it too often now, it needs a fresh set of ears.
If you hadn't said this I would have been sure you'd had a female backup-singer. Please tell what settings you had on the harmonizer!!!

This is a mighty fine piece of work, Ronnie. Lovingly and lushly done. Simply beautiful. And those harmonies sound amazing! If you hadn't told me, I'd have though they were real!

I'll definately leave the harmonies in then......

Vocals were recorded on my sure mic, (a 58 I think)
Then selected P01 (VOCAL), turned everything off except the DOUBLE/HARMONY
PART 1 +1OCT
LEVEL About 80 I think
PAN  L10
PART 2 OFF

Reading that back it almost sounds like I know what I'm talking about, please don't be fooled ;D

Thanks for the listen and the comments

Cheers

Sorry Geir, should have said:

Great cover of a classic folk tune, the harmonies really set it off, well played.

What a lovely song with great lyrics - haven't heard before this so thanks for covering it. You did a lovely job here, and the harmonies also sound great to me. Beautifully played and sung.

And yes, the BR800 does allow you to change gender...... at least in sound. Dressing the part while you sing is optional.

Cheers,

Well this is a fine harmony.
My first attempts sound terrible. More than just my bad singing.
I must have the settings wrong.
This has given me encouragement to try again.

Blimey - what an absolute gem.  Yet another class act that I completely missed.  And as others have said - the harmonies are uncanny considering the source.  Actually - I'm wrong.  They are amazing regardless of the source.
