Hi everybody

I've got a question for BOSS BR - 800 users. I'd like to get some vocal microphone for my recorder - so, could you give me some advice? which one is good in your opinion, or if you using one - some experiences?

thank you..

Hi Lubo, not sure how good this would be on the BR 800, but I use it on my BR900 with pretty good results. Follow the link below, it may provide other alternatives...............Willie

Hi Lubo

When James, Tharek and I went to Geirs hut, I took my Rode NT1-a which worked perfectly. It's a great mic, and well worth the money.

Cheers

I just got a Sterling Audio st51 Large Diaphragm Condenser Mic. I recorded "Bewteen the Bars" with it and so far I am pretty happy with it.

...thank you to all

and I need another advice - I'm looking for some keyboard (piano) compatible with boss br - 800..I don't know which one is quite good for my recorder ???

The NT1-a has a standard Canon XLR connection. It needs phantom power which the BR800 can supply.

It's a good combination, but any large diaphragm condenser would do just fine.

I agree. The Røde is a good choice. Myself I got the Behringer B2 Pro (got it secondhand at a good price) and almost all my vocal/acoustic recordings since november has been done with that.

I was looking for a review on the B2 and came across one that had 8 of them in addition to many more expencive ones. He gave it high praise, but more importantly ended his review with these wise words:

QuoteAs a final note to all recording engineers and musicians, if your project sounds good or like crap is determined 90% by the material and musicianship. 6% by the recording techniques, 3.99% by the mix and .001% by the using an expensive european microphone. If you have achieved that 99.99% perfection level and are craving for more, I stand corrected and by all means you shouldn't buy this microphone.
