Yup, I'm getting some Scott Walker (esp. later in his career) vibe from this - don't hear any botched notes, though...just a top class bittersweet song.

no bass on it robb, i think it's maybe one of the kick drums you might be hearing. saying that a certain bass player i know said it needed some bass , i said go for it, hopefully it will be ready for august.
