messing about with the drums on the juno di, then added some keys over the top in one take so bum notes aplenty.

this is one for the over fifties here (flash it wont be long til you join the club).

we strolled along
lost avenues
with no regrets
and nonchalance
who's kidding who
so confident
so bold and full
of bravado

when we were young

we knew it all
with certainty
you couldn't tell
cos we couldn't hear
indifferent
and thoughtless too
we didn't care
about anything

when we were young

when we were young
when we were young

do you recall
those heady days
where days were long
and nights were lost
we lived our lives
both full and fast
dancing fools
on a knife edge

when we were young

we strolled along
lost avenues
with no regrets
and nonchalance

when we were young

when we were young
when we were young

Gritter

Great vocal...a most dramatic songs. The contrast between contemplative keys & vox works amazingly well with the funky break-dance style drums.

Bluesberry

beauty Jim...sorta Bowie sound on the vocals.

well, a "for the over 50's" dedication works for me!  And, yes Jim I remember those days...  The clock seems to be ticking a bit faster these days!

As always your lyrics and voice are right there - and sweet music to my >50 hearing!

PS: tried to download and it would not do its thing...  I see that there were 12 downloads so is working - may need to wait and try it later~~~~

fantastic - sound, fantastic song - I don't know why, but it's sounds like U2 - for me..

Tangled Wires

Wow....one of your best here Jim.
Tender vocal against the backdrop of a dance beat, with some lovely touches on the Juno...it all works so well and creates an atmospheric unique song.

F*ck me, this is good. Kind of like Roxy Music's 'Bittersweet' in atmosphere and your Bryan Ferry / Scott Walker vocal delivery. It's pretty monumental. Something poignant and intangible that makes it epic-sounding. I love the drum skips too. One of your very, very best....
