I've been listening to some Hawkwind today and this has a similar kind of feel with the amazing guitar effects,

I concur.  Has that kind of hypnotic druggy trippy feel (not that I'd know what that's like, you understand).  What is that sound, it is like that thing that Matt what's-his-face in Muse has on his guitar, like a Kaos pad?

Can't beat a bit of Hawkwind...
