A young relative of mine has Cystic Fibrosis.
She will die from it, and much too young, but it's a race with science as to when.
Known as "65 roses" due to an affected child's misunderstanding.
That inspired the song.
This is not the first song on this subject but I wanted to do one of my own for personal reasons.

Such a tragic back story. Life is a fragile thing, for sure. But despite the lyric, this feels like a really uplifting song. There's a lot of Jimmy Buffett in this (to my ears). Sunny and tropical sounding. I have to congratulate you on this one: superb playing, melodies and arrangement. Stunning.

This song is going to warm her heart for sure. Thanks for sharing. This is real music.

Inspiring song Glenn, really like the acoustic melodies, they really give the song a meloncholy feel.
The drums are superb...would be interested to know how you did these.

Wonderfully written and delivered song, and production of the highest quality.

WOW great song on such a tragic topic.

Very emotional vocal delivery and the music is fabulous. The guitar-riff has some McCartney over it and the melody is wonderful.

Fantastic song Glenn !!!

I love it !

The drums were done with my new (to me- craig's list) Boss DR-880. I really like it tho it was a bit of a learning curve for this old brain.
Very nice samples and lots of ways of inputting. (Real time, use existing patterns, make your own patterns, modify any of these, etc) and lots of control over feel and sound quality. The bass lines are a bonus they included too. Again lots of controls and sounds.
The worst I can say about it is it has an RCA type digital out which doesn't play with my other machines so I have to use the analogue Master left & right to get it into my recorders for further tracks.

Thank you.
It helps when it's a real or personal issue and not just an intellectual exercise
