 Something else popped into my head.... This is all digital ,the guitar usualy rumbles through an old ac 30 with a few anologue effects when played live, and of course when we used to use the old tape machines it was anologue.

   So adjustments are needed to my anologue ears, We have some decent condensers etc for recording live using the BR600 or the 900 CD but it is all so digital, still this is the new age, whether that's a improvement, maybe, maybe not. One thing is for sure, I do distance myself as do the rest of the band from computer software applications.
