I got me a new Cajon.

This is the first time recorded it (or played it for more than 30 seconds to be honest. My son keeps telling me to be quiet, then jumps on to it himself... ;D ).

Thank you G man for Playing guitar on this. Luv ya bro!

This is called "Meets your Mind".

Meets your Mind

Cajon (Drums), Bass, Vocals = T
Guitars= G

Lyrics

I find, Your Never gonna feel good all the time....
With all your chances Run Down, how you Gonna read it?
When the papers say you've won......
Now you fear the thought of me,
How do you see the line that first defined the crime,
Which holds us in this place?
Where has your courage gone?
The same place as your will.....
So Swallowed up in hate,
Your arse hole Meets your mind.

Cajon is cool, just perfect for your needs, and a lot of fun.  Banging away on a big wood box, what a concept.  Fun stuff, I love the Geirifications here.  Dig the lyrics and vox.

It sounds great.

I've seen a few groups use  the Cajon at open mic.
I've been contemplating buying one since Christmas.
Spent an hour or so in the music store this weekend... going from Cajon, to Bongos, to Congo's and Djembe.
Still can't make up my mind.

It can add a nice flavor to more intimate acoustic pieces.

Have fun.

I just checked out a few killer Cajon solos on youtube.

What a great tag line you created for the title!
Funky, funky, funky - and with just three instruments and a vocal. Impressive.
I'm up awfully early, and this got my day going in a groovy way.
Been wanting a cajon since I first read about it in a thread on this site. Want it even more now.

Tangled Wires

This song is in a genre of its own, its so unique, kind of funky and folky at the same time.

The flowing vocal reminded me a bit of REM Losing My Religion....non stop and captivating.

What fantastic additions by Geir, that wah guitar sounds amazing and sits perfectly in the mix.

Cajon sounds brilliant, as does that bass..wow what a groove.

On the second listen now...its keeps getting better.

So you`re a drum hitting maniac now eh? This sounds like an era to me. The ThareGeir era.

That is great bass playing and the song is catchy as hell. Geir, your wah here fits like a glove.

Very tasteful!! This is another masterpiece from you guys!!

This is friggin cool. Tharek, this is when you're at your best. The vocal delivery is outstanding. This is beyond catchy, its contagious. I'm going to beat on some wood later, figuratively.

Yes, it is funky, but I also get a psychedelic vibe from this as well - cajon sounds great (I haven't built one...yet!), and that is some terrific wah-wah guitar.

Also, it's a hell of a song - great lyrics and vox. That's the stuff!
