Don't change it T - when the vocal started I could hear what is probably really bugging you now, but as a listener I just accepted it as what was intended. I think something about the combination of really clear guitar and the "singing through a sock" vocal (I hadn't realised you actually were! ) actually add to the emotional ride.

And as for the guitar playing - I can see that other people are getting this too - it is FABULOUS on this recording. You might play it better again, you might not, but are you going to capture this exact vibe again?

T, this is a totally awesome song, man!  The guitar sounds sooooo superb, and your voice just sits right on top of every note!  I have lend out 3 of my guitars to aspiring guitar players, and see that may need to get my classical back and give the kid one of my 12 strings ~ let him build his calouses with 12 steel strings -ha!  This is truly an inspirational song ~ to me...  Let's see if can get out of this rut!
