Modern Music........ good/bad?

yep, that's what I meant.
I think I inappropriately started to touch on this in another (the wrong) thread about 12 months ago.
Maybe we should all ask ourselves and of others (maybe)..what is the motivation behind the music?
What is it saying? Why is it there?
Obviously, a lot of music is made purely to make money, both now and in the past. It's not a "modern" idea. It's been going on for a long time.
But what about the rest? Some I don't think is.
Personally, I make music mostly as a creative vent. I don't plan to get rich from it, and I don't really care if anyone else even hears it at times. My music only has to make sense to me.
