Hi all, here's this weeks offering. I spent a little more time on it although I could probably have cleaned the vocals up a little bit. Hope you like regards..............Willie

I know some of you like the words, so this is what I meant to sing although I notice I did take some liberties. Lol

Wrote down every word of the songs we used to sing
Together
Tried to remember every place we'd been
Together
But ain't it working babe
Ain't it working
So much Better

We've had such a happy life working things out
Together
The promises that we made when we were young
Together
But ain't it working babe
Ain't it working
So much Better

We used to laugh and hold hands
Oh yeah in the stormiest of weather
We're so much older now oh so much older now
And run for cover
But ain't it working babe
Ain't it working
So much Better

We stood and kissed under yellow moons
Together
Our laughter would fill an empty room
Together
But ain't it working babe
Ain't it working
So much Better

This is gorgeous, Willie. Really fine music/melody and vocal performance.
I like the way the story evolves as well.
Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable listen.  :)

This song is so much better than most songs the music industry wants us to listen to. Very well done! Sorry for comparing again, but your voice and guitar sound like a combination of Mark Knopfler with Johnny Cash. :)

this is simply a premium example of what true artistry is all about, Willie.

With a pinch of Neil Diamond (and I mean that favorably).

A comment on the arrangement: I think the rhythmic comping second guitar is a little distracting in the pre-drums part of the song (although I like lilting melodic accents). The comping fits better when the "whole band" comes in.

(What sometimes happens when this kind of advice is offered, is that someone else will chime in and say that the arrangement is perfect just the way it is. They'll be right too.)

Hi all, thank you all for your kind comments. Ted I was going to do just as you suggested but I got called away (visiting Mum in-law) and forgot where I'd got up to. I imported into Garageband and put on the keyboards and just didn't have the heart to go back into the BR900 and edit the guitar work. Mum in-laws have a lot to answer for  ;D..........Thank you again.......Willie
