Quote from: Pete C on September 07, 2013, 10:07:15 AMI love the synthy stuff you sometimes do so I'd like a cover of my favourite song by Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence.  Always fancied doing it myself but I don't really do keyboards!

Thanks for Suggesting this, Pete, I've enjoyed putting this one together.  I don't really get any time to play with the synth now so this is done is GarageBand with vocals and guitar added later on the Zoom.

The words for this are poignant at the moment because my 4 month old daughter talks all the time by knows no words yet.  Once the words come, the silence will be broken.

Beautifully done. Such an awesome original, and you pulled off the great feat of making it reassuringly familiar yet different. The compressed guitars sound fantastic. It all sounds fantastic! Superior stuff.

Hook

Spectacular tune for you & you've done this great tune immense justice!

We pray for them to talk so they can tell us what they need but then they never stop!

Bravo Nick - that's an impressive piece of work!  Love it to bits.  Amazing what you can do with Garage band -I've just bought an ipad and downloaded it but not got to grips with it yet - some brilliant keyboard and strings on there. Can't wait to start using it on my own songs.

Anyway, thanks for doing a great job on this!

As I was listening to this cool bump and reading your song info. I was thinking your daughter must 10 years old now. I also wondered if she talks a lot and you answered that, lol. A great cover Nick!
