I was recently talking to John about adding horns to a tune (via a Roland guitar synth), but I think I need to put that off as this is too good to follow. Big wow. Great singing, instrumentation, arrangement, writing, production, guitar playing. Just a stellar post.

Original Songs / "Falling Star"

It was supposed to sound like a loose jam that somehow eventually finds its legs (around 1:50 or so) and then again falls apart at the end. Was still looking at more bits to edit out for flow's sake, but I had to just let it go.

Peace.

I had to come back for another listen to the new Roland Strat guitar. Man, it does sound good on all those different sounds. An amazingly good tool for the studio. I like it and the song Kenny!

This is a great "wake me up" rocker! You did an excellent backer Kari and Kenny's good vocals and lead solo are mixed in perfectly. It sounds like you guys recorded in the same room at the same time!

I'm back for another listen to this sentimental gem. The lines "So I keep my clocks wound up all the time
And watch my life slipping by". Yes, I can relate...a good one Willie!

Both mixes sound good because a good song always come through loud and clear. If I had to choose, based on personal preference, the first harder edged mix is to my liking but just barely. A good song is a good song!

This transports me back to the 80's when synths ruled the airwaves. Excellent synth work Paul. Nick's vocals and bass grabbed the style and didn't let go. A good one guys!
