I should really have looked at the dates for the Bob Dylan fest - this is a song I wrote quite a long time ago but just got round to recording it today :)
great song Trev , definately got a very strong Dylan influence by the sound of it , how did you record your acoustic , it sounds amazing
Rob
Powerful, passionate stuff.
This will be going to the piPod.
It sounds like you recorded your acoustic plugged in, and not mic'd. Am I right? Lately I've been experimenting with a combination, so I can find a blend between the pezio sound (which I like) and the mic'd sound.
Hello chaps
Yes the guitar is straight into my computer thro a motu 828 interface - I record into Ableton Live 8 Suite and I've used one of the reverb plugins and a compressor on it.
I used to record with Protools but I'm really impressed with Ableton Live and rarely go into Protools now.
Really glad you like the song - I feel a bit more confident with the acoustic thing now and your feedback has really helped - thanks again
Trev
you've captured that real dylan feeling in here. your voice though sounds a bit more like elvis costello than bob. a bob(ish) vioce was mayne not what you were aiming for.
That could absolutely have been an original Dylan song, but of course you sing way better :D
Cool one Trev!
I agree with Geir - the vocal's too good for Bob! More Springsteen to my ears. But the song itself has all the right dynamics for a great, folky protest sing. It would have gone down a storm in Greenwich Village in it's folky heyday. Great songwriting and another ultra-strong delivery. Superb stuff, and all the better for just being a guitar and a voice.
Holy crap, what a song. You are insanely good Trev. I love this totally. What a vocal. I would pay good money to be able to sing with this much power and this well.
Nearly missed that one. fabulous song, what a sound ! good job trev !
TREV SUPERB. u really have the dylan sound in guitar and vox.
all u need now is a harmonica want to borrow mine . my father
has the same type he gave me that bob dyaln used i mess
with it . but not too good ye.t.it s more of a collector s peice.
from the 60 s. like playing a keybord through your mouth lo .

best regards NEIL
Dont give to many songs a second comment , but this is worth it without a doubt
Rob
Trev,
I just hit the random dozen and your song popped up.
