Title: Post your solo in this song!
Post by: Kenneth on September 23, 2010, 07:39:19 PM
Here's a song where I thought it would be cool to take turns putting our trademark solos in!

The song is 4 1/2 minutes long and I used the first 25 seconds for my solo.

I thought it would be a good idea for everyone to solo for 30 - 45 seconds so there is room for a few? What do you think?

If you are putting a solo on, maybe just leave a note so someone else wont put one in the same spot?

Cool, hopefully we will have a complete rocker if there is interest in doing this!

Nice Ken, I'm interested but it will have to wait till tomorrow.  I'll check back and see where this is at.  I know Tony W will be in too.

Well, it's been a while since I let it rip, and quite frankly I was wasn't very good when I tried an up tempo song. This is about as good as I can play.

Ken, this was a blast!

Brilliant idea and coming along fine.
Great track to play over (as you would expect from Ken) but TonyW you have excelled yourself here. You are playing better and better every time I hear you. You have improved so much, even in the few weeks I have been off limits, well done.
Can't wait to hear the next instalment. Come on Satch - we are all waiting.

Yeahhhh hoooo.  Ken is no longer with us, now its new and improved...wait for it...Kenneth.   Great to have you back Ken(neth).  I was worried, we have seen this before, a guy finds this site, starts to have a blast, making music like he hasn't in years, his significant other hits him over the head with a frying pan and deletes his account.  Tis a sad story, but one we have seen before.  I was worried that you got "frying Panned".  I am glad it was something innocent like "beverage distraction".  Bring on the new and improved Kenneth!!!!!!!!!!!

The Passing of Ken caused me anguish and despair. I contemplated all possible situations. The one situation that kept surfacing was me finishing this entire song! Welcome from the Grave Kenneth.

I figured we could keep this as a running post. download it, add to it and post it right back until it is full.

option 2 ken collect name of people who express interest, pm each person. set an order, and email the file for the next guy to add to. each addition sent back to ken, and he sends it to the next cat on the list.

I dont mind taking a 2nd solo on this either.....hint hint

Killer playing Eric. The only thing I'd do differently is try to match up the level a bit better. I tried to stick to the same level as the artist formerly known as Ken.

If I can get home early enough tonight, I'd love to add something to this ;)

That's just plain cool Ken. I'm hoping Sai gets in on this tonight, it's right up his alley. He either does a full production or a quick hitter. Regardless, I'm cutting back in line shortly.

That's an awesome solo after me Ken. You went out of the box there didn't you? I like doing that too.

I got it done late last night so i was tired when i mixed it in. I could only use my Bose headphones and i WAS matching it. I guess it didnt turn out that way. I can only hear me a smidgen higher really.

Alright, Sai is in! Wheres BB and Satch too??? There's still room for at least 7 or 8 more solos!

Eric, i had a brain fart, My monitors were tweaked, and nothing sounded right. I listened to it in my office today on cans and it blended right in naturally.

In other words.... I'm a douche.

I got sidetracked with another project hot off the burner, but I wanted to put a new found skill to good use, and see if how it works. I've got a lot of practice ahead of me, I can tell you that in advance.

I'm sorry but that performance is completely and utterly wrong!! It sounds like a big lump of shite!! His tone has way too much gain and i guess its just me but i fail to comprehend it..I'll shut up now :-X

Wait one more...I'm with you on the sock thing Tony!! He uses the sock to take out unwanted noise from open notes while he taps. A recording secret. He'd look like a fool live though unless he wanted to impress groupies and stick it down his pants :-*

The passing of Ken was a great distraction. Then I laughed. Hey, why not dig him up again (like Elvis) and take him on a world tour? Tape his fingers to a guitar neck, then animate his corpse using servos controlled by a computer. I can see all the wild screaming groupie girls being mowed down by midget Terminators. This ought to make a killer scifi movie. The Return of The Ken-borg.

Now who put that orange juice in my "orange juice"?
