Hey all i'm Tony i'm new here and just thought i'd post this to break the ice.
I play guitar in 2 metal bands currently one is an original effort the other is a metallica tribute (with only guitarists atm)
I have been playing for 3 years now and i would say recording properly for about a year and a half.
I generally write all my riffs etc then arrange them in guitar pro for writing drum sections/orchestra/piano etc.

as you can tell the soundcloud ones are a tad older as its all been a learning process of how to mic an amp correctly after spending a good while using a podxt

Thankyou for a warm welcome im just currently taken aback by the great manner of people on this forum.
Most places youll go and get unconstructive comments or just plain rude ones.

welcome tony I'm very impressed with your posts here. Such a strong atmosphere, I can't believe you're in business only for 3 years. Hope someone will add lyrics in "in a heartbeat", if you let have a go.

If anybody is up for it i would be incredibly happy for them to.
However it is actually my rendition of the music from the end of 28 days later but it would be interesting to see what lyrics and vocal performances could be produced for it.
My rendition is a tad less dark than the original as i wanted to make it my own rather than a straight up cover.
I am actually pretty unhappy with that recording as it was just a very quick hackjob and my actual performance is rather poor when playing full chords as im primarily a metal player so i struggle to get all the notes to ring out fully.
I would be more than happy to re do the entire thing with anybody interested.
Oh yeah i should also add that i played drums for 5 years also before taking a short break then coming back to guitar after a burglary where i lived left me without any drums and a large lack of money to buy any new equipment so i took the break and then went for what i thought was the cheaper option of guitar.... boy i was wrong there
