You own this song now, This is how this should sound. You put the spook in that was missing. Yup, its infectious, listen-able, even danceable.
Brings into my mind an image of Christian Bale in one of the most scary movies I have ever seen, thats spook. (http://ewpopwatch.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/americanpsycho_l.jpg)

Awesome! Your growly "Oh oh oh" reminds me of "Plaistow Patricia" by the late great Ian Dury.
Only four more songs needed to complete Abbey Road! :)

:-[ I hope no one takes my lack of comments personally. It's not because I don't like the songs. The quality of music posted at Songcrafters is fantastic! It's mostly just lack of time, but also partly a lack of imagination. I often hear songs that are great but I can't think of what to say. I can only sit here with the wheels turning and going nowhere for so long before lack of time forces me to move on to the next post. Otherwise, I'd never get through them all. As Curly says...
And the site keeps me pretty busy all the time. With reading messages, listening to song posts, updating the festival pages, answering PMs, replying to technical questions, chasing away spammers, fixing software problems, etc., it's a full-time job (and the pay's lousy, but I'm not complaining :)). If I took the time to comment on every post, I wouldn't be able to do all of the other things I do at Songcrafters. So I hope everyone understands and isn't offended when I don't comment.
When I do take the time to comment, I'll often do so on a song that doesn't have a lot of replies, as I hate to see good song posts with no comments. There are a lot of very talented people who are quite popular here at Songcrafters. So I don't feel as bad when I don't comment on their posts because I know that many others will.
Henny, I love all your stuff. Among my favourites are "Really Not Worth It", "Shark in the Water", and "Cry Baby Cry", but they're all so brilliant! Keep 'em coming. I also love everything that Jemima's Kite have done, as a group and individually, since the first song of the first album a couple of years ago, and individual efforts prior to that. I seldom comment on their stuff anymore but it doesn't mean I'm any less impressed with it. It's incredible music by three amazingly talented musicians (and great guys)! Then there's the musically-gifted hooper and his astounding productions which are second to none. And Tharek, Geir, Rob (facemask93), Vanncad, and far too many others for me to mention. You're all so brilliant! And what ever happened to RonnieJM? I loved his music. I wish he'd return and treat us to some more. For any newcomers who aren't familiar with Ronnie's work, check it out here (https://songcrafters.org/64guitars/Jukebox/RonnieJM.html).
It's hard to find any time to work on my own recordings. I'm still trying to finish one for BeatlesFest. All the tracks are recorded but I need to fix some timing errors and do the final mix. But I promise I'll post it sooner or later.

64 i love you and appreciate all your efforts to make this the wonderful place it is. all the wonderful music and camaraderie we share here is akin to the swan gliding over the water in all it's majesty.
but look under the surface and there is a lot going on to make the swan so graceful.
that's 64guitars knocking his pan in.
i think the next tribute fest should be a 64guitars tribute fest. please let it be noted in the records that i am sober at the time of making this statement.

Its funny how a song about hitting people on the head with a silver hammer (until they are dead no less) has brought out this much love from the good folks here. You have a power Henwrench, use it for good, use it for good. Think of the little people. I love all you guys. I love the music posted on here, and specifically I love this cover that you have put up (I brought it all back to topic, did you notice the subtlety of that). Great cover, its got me shaking all over.

When I saw someone had covered this, I first thought "Oh no... WHO?", And then "WHY?", lol. But then I saw it was henny, and I guessed at a nice, subversive little dismantling of it on uke. Then I heard it. It hasn't been dismantled, it's been brutally dismembered in a tin bathtub with a chainsaw in a disused factory, lol. I hate the original of this song. But this... this is what to do with one of Macca's momentary lapses of taste / judgement. This is brilliant henwrench. Brilliantly irreverant, edgy, and disturbing. Oh... and thoroughly enjoyable as a result!

I see you have Mr Jelly as your new icon. I thought Psychoville was a dark masterpiece. I think ORH is a big fan too. I was already a League of Gentlemen fanatic, so I was bound to like it... lol

James posted a picture somewhere here, saying it was me. The really strange thing is that I'm sure ORH must be some kinda voyuer or something, because I actually do look Mr Jelly. No, seriously, I really do. Same hair, eyes, the lot. It ain't funny. I caught the odd episode of LoG, and loved it, but never saw Psychoville I'm sorry to say. I know I'd dig it if/when I see it, it's just gettin' round to it..... the only thing I watch on the old flickering idiot lantern on a regular basis is football.
Mr Jelly

I may have to get the handbags out with Mr Green because for some weird reason I love the orginal. But this.....? Well, it takes the song to a different dimension and bashes its little head in with a sledgehammer. Great version Henny, I love the heavy Henwrench stuff and this is just brilliant. Inspired madness as always, a nd a huge pleasure to listen to.
Cheers,
Nigel
