Got another hour free today and recorded this very quickly. I hope to get more time next week to do some more of the fab four's stuff.
This is one of my many favourite songs from Rubber Soul
Girl
w/m: Lennon&McCartney
Performed by Geir:
6 & 12 string acoustic guitars
vocals
All recorded with the mbr mic.
Thats a long haul you are taking on that milkshake (thats what it is right?). Sweet and simple and beautiful. I love that mandolin-like solo there. Its a beaut. Most days I tend to think of Rubber Soul as my favorite Beatles album with Revolver a very close second, other days it changes around, then there is Magical Mystery Tour, always liked that one...damn man its all good isn't it. Great song Geir.
SUPER JOB . reallY liked how u did the breathing part after girl

Brilliant. Perfect. Right down to the Lennon intake of breath. This one fits you like a glove. And that mandolin-sounding part blew me away. What a brilliant interpretation; you've covered it beautifully and faithfully, but the special Geir touch we know and love is all over it.
In fact, I need to listen to this again straight away.
Geir, you are a festival champion. This is beautiful.
One of my favourite Beatle songs done with a little more soul than the original. I like this a lot, gonna be a download.........Willie
Quality all the way, just a great Beatles cover and you,ve added your own take, magic.
Great performance on this great cover Geir!! I like the emotion you put into your vocals, and that mandolin-ish solo sounds very cooL!
This is amazing geir.
You sound so different on this track but i like it. You have all kinds of vocal range and ability.
Awesome!!
Oh i love this so much , the intimacy you have created between the listener and the song is so wonderful , many more listens for sure
Rob
Geir, this is great. Loved the tremolo picking at the end...12 string, right?
All of this in an hour? I don't have enough years!! ;D
Downloading this for further study. 8)
Great version Geir, and fabulous vocals. Your voice sounds fantastic, the little harmonies in the middle are great. Another stunning version, well done!
Cheers,
Nigel
Wow, an hour of power I say! Like I've claimed before, you are the music making machine! And one of the few who can combined quantity with quality every time - I bet your redo button doesn't have a scratch on it!
