Most of you regulars know this, but I started playing music in March of last year, and stumbled across 48's blues lessons in June of last year. June 22 marked the date of the first lesson. I had hoped to get this posted last week, but I nearly sacked the whole project due to a faulty SD card and lack of confidence.
Water
springs forth life
quench your thirst
or cut you like a knife
Diving
down To the depths
freedom from the day
Peace into the night
could be on a kayak, could be on a boat
maybe on a jet ski, maybe I just float
doesn't really matter cause all I wanna be
is soaking up the sun and obligation free
Riding
River like a snake
takes me to a place
where I feel no pain
sailing
A golden light
the scenery was set
It couldn't feel more right
(chorus)
I flow
like Water in a stream
a leaf in the current
its living in my dream
Riding
River like a snake
takes me to a place
where I feel no pain
(chorus)

Amazing dude, after only 1 year and your putting out originals like this.!.!. Your best to date Tony! You were flowing like water in a stream on this one....
I can relate to the SD card crapolla.... i feel an 'SD Card Blues' song being conjured up....
Well done, Tony - those lessons paid off!
SD card trouble often means there's too much on it - if you can delete anything, you may find it working again.
cheers,
cuth

Great work, this is really catchy, love,in your solos too, hope to hear more.
Cool rocker, awesome guitar work and sweet vocal! Aces Tony!
Some folks play guitar their whole lives and never sing or write an original song. You have all of this under your belt now. Great job with the mix here, for such a heavy song it is not muddy at all, nice and clear, vocals sound good, superb soloing, lots of expression. First one in the can, what have you got on your mind for the next one.

Agree with Dave! I didn't know the story that started playing last year!! You have written and performed just a fabulous track Tony! Fine job!!

Hey TW, great to hear a relative newbie rocking out like that, there is a lot of raw fun going on in your song. I liked the lead bridge thing that reappeared a few times, simple but melodic with a bit of a 60's garage feel. Keep on rockin'!
Wow...only playing for a year? Amazing. Way ahead of me! Great tune too...soaking up the sun indeed :)
Going all the way! Learning guitar is one thing, but writing songs is something that can't really be taught. You're getting into quite a groove with it. Great work!
Well played and sung Tony W !! there is no stopping you my friend !! whats next !!! i bet you have already got one in the bolt !!!
You rock !!!
Dunny
Sounds great Tony.
I love your leads on this tune.
Song has summertime feel to it and lyrics are solid.
Vox sound good and are spot on.
Nice work on this song Tony.
Your guitar work is amazing, for only playing a year your guitar chops are much better than mine and I have been playing for ...um (showing my age now)
well been playing for longer than a year.

Impressive guitar work. And that's not counting only a year of playing. So there's a blues course you can take?
Thanks everyone, I surely love being an active participant here. It's well worth the effort of learning how to play. This place has a plethora of good people from around the globe.

Wow, just found this one, Tony, this ROCKS! Great song, great playing, great singing but also great production. Very powerful guitar sounds and great mixing of the vox. You have come a helluva a long way in the last year, and I suspect you will be going a lot further over the next one!
Cheers,
Nigel
