I missed this one.
As I was reading these intros, I realized that I only knew most of you by your screennames
and music. I really enoyed getting to know the lives of some of the people that are inspirational to me.
My name is Johnny,
I'm 26 and live in Fort McMurray AB Canada I'm origionally from Cape Breton N.S.
I live with my wife Jenny and 3 year old son Brody and I also have another kid on the way (unnamed at the moment) I work as a union labourer in albertas oil industry.
when I found this website, I youtubed "micro Br" and found pedros instructional videos
I have always had a love for music, but when I found a site devoted to people who loved writting music and helping others write music, I instantly felt like i had found a new member of the family.
Although my br is only used for acoustic recordings now, I still find myself faithfully comming back to this site to hear new music, find advice to get better, to hear important criticisim
and check in on how my friends are progressing musically.
If you are new to this site and were looking for the same thing I was missing out on, I suggest you hang around and get to know some of the best musicians I know.
Hey buddy, nice one. I live in Saint John, NB. I lived in Edmonton AB for a few years a while back. Its good to hear a fellow Canadian is living the dream. I am enjoying your music big time.
hi johnny from bonnie scotland
Hi Johnny. It seems funny to see your introduction now when you've been a member here almost as long as me and oldrottenhead (you joined one month after me).
Apart from extracting oil from the oilsands, is there much going on in Fort McMurray? Seems like it's in the middle of nowhere. Any good music stores there, or do you have to buy online or go to Edmonton (I imagine that's much too long of a drive to be practical)? What about concerts, clubs, etc. I don't imagine many big-name acts include a tour stop in Fort McMurray, but are there any good local bands?
Keep the music coming. I always look forward to hearing your stuff.
Welcome Johnny !!!
Norway and Canada has a lot in common I think .... oil just being one of those things ;)
Hey Johnny... welcome... Look forward to many more rockin adventures with ya.
Tod from Alaska... Your Humble Northerly Friend.
fort mcmurray is a boring place to live. if you wanted to have any kind of fun at all you need to drive to edmonton. they have some great local bands that play at the casino here, but i just dont have the time to go. I usually work 24 days then get 4 off, so its hard to keep up with any scene here. i barely have time make music, let alone go see it.
Hi Johnny welcome!!!! from Rainy Liverpool UK ..
Hey Johnny! I love your tunes. I'm in Vancouver...keep on rockin'. Congrats on the new baby in advance.
Hey thanks Sandy. I never knew there were so many fellow canucks here.
cant wait to hear more of your acoustic covers, I particularly enjoy "here I go" I listen to it often.
