I saw the film 'It Might Get Loud' at the weekend, and can highly recommend it. It's a beautifully made and moving insight on the musical worlds of Jack White, The Edge and Jimmy page, and how their love of the guitar binds them (as it binds most of us on here, I guess... :)). The best bit is when Jimmy starts playing the 'Whole Lotta Love' riff, and The Edge and Jack have these little uncontrollable smiles on their faces.
It's only just been at the cinema, so not sure when the DVD is out (or if it is already).
It's all about passion.

I saw it and highly recommend it. It was facinating to see those guys go back to their old stomping grounds and tell their stories. I hope to be half as cool as Jimmy when I get to be his age.

I just saw this myself a couple of weeks ago. It was great! Much better than I thought it was going to be. I had never been a huge fan of Page, always thought he was a bit of a sloppy player, but I cam away from this with a lot a respect for what he's done.
I also liked Jack White's attitude about everything. Although, for the life of me, when i heard about this movie, I did not know why he was included in this.
Highly recommended movie.

it's been out for about a month on DVD.
This film was far better than I expected it to be...so much so, I had to buy the DVD the day it came out so that I can enjoy it again!
I have been looking for that DVD in the Stores.
I may have to order it from Amazon.
I love J. Page and the Edge.

No luck in stores up here (New England) either, Jim...but I got mine from Amazon, nice and easy. If you've followed Page through the years, you knkow he's always been something of a recluse offstage, so it was quite the treat to have him open up as much as he does in this film, and get a glimpse of what makes him tick.
Oh, and if you're a "gear head"...when you see them bringing the Edge's effects rack in on a fork lift, you know you're in for a serious GAS attack!

Thanks to a good friend I got to see it too.
Was great! Page is an old hero, just as much as arranger/producer as guitarist, and the edge has had a big influence on many of us tho not necessarily directly on technique, his experimenting in different sounds and effects is an inspiration to many.
Jack ... well Jack's Jack.
Will see this one some times ....
The Edge really went up in my estimation after watching this. I liked him already as a guitarist, but he came across as a nice, unassuming guy who's really into what he does. A quiet but compelling kind of passion.
Have to check this one out i love all that kind of stuff ,

Got my copy from Amazon yesterday, I only paid 12 bucks including shipping from a seller on the site. I really enjoyed this! Some of the never seen before pictures and Performance Videos are Priceless. I watched it Twice already,all the Deleted scenes and Listened to the directors commentary, I am such a Nerd! LOL. I just started to get into White Stripe Stuff, Jack White is one interesting Dude!!
Watched it Sunday Night with A beer , all pro muso,s that we all envy in some way or another , it s agreat movie for guitarists dont think my Misses would enjoy it though !!
