Title: The Playa
Post by: pjd1 on February 11, 2010, 01:32:42 PM
Hi Fellow pluckers here is my 4th post , I recorded all of it on an old Boss br 8 which i lent out to a member of my family after my zoom 1608 fried and died !!  I used the boss micro drum track into one of the tracks on the br8, and recorded all the rest on that machine , its has all the same sort of features as the micro but is 5 times the size ,, i managed to use the micro as the master track recording into the line in stereo input , the converting over to MP3 , all the tracks are recorded by me and i used a Les Paul Studio for the main lead  which was a persent from my Mum and Dad for my 40th birthday ,

Cheers

I love this from the first guitar note.  Thats a sweet tone, how did you get such sweet tone, if you don't mind my asking.  What guitar, what effects, etc (oh I just re-read your post, LP Studio, but man what tone, what effects are you using here).  I am seriously loving this song PJD.  It is just too cool.  Great style you have.

Dude, you've got some monster chops, and good taste to boot.  Nice work. More, please!

Going thru your list.. You put out a consistently excellent product. You seem at home with this style tho the Nylon strings sound great too. I looked up your profile and was hoping you would be within driving distance for a F2F jam sometime but Liverpool is a bit of a swim from here..
Again, love your soaring guitar work.

I've commented on this before, but unfortunately not here. When I grow up I wanna be pjd1 junior. It takes a unique and special talent to make a guitar talk like this.

second listen, better than the first. You tell a fine story with that ax. Give it up you are really Steve Rothery under cover.

Superb playing and really nice chord sequences. A really enjoyable piece of music, given all the talk recently of overlong solos, it;s nice to hear the guitar played in a way that really keeps the interest despite the fact it's playing a long lead! Lovely stuff, you are indeed a very accomplished and talented guitarist, a real pleasure to lisetn to.

Cheers,

Nigel
