Had a go at an acoustic version of one of my favourite songs from my favourite bands, using a couple of guitars and a shaker. Its a bit rough and ready as it was pretty much done in one take.
Had a go at singing it myself (first time...and maybe the last!), not really my forte, but gave it a go in the spirit of the fest!
For anyone unfamiliar with the orignal, here it it...

Dramatic and passionate...very well played and sung - you should sing more. You've got a very full, rich voice and excellent pitch!
I hadn't heard the original before...but I love your take on this.

Jesus, Andrew, stop the nonsense about your singing. Absolutely fantastic, just wonderful. You and Sasha could bring your music to a new level with your vox.
A1, bro - A f**ing one!!!
Really pro playing too - This is a keeper. Straight to the PiePod...
Love it - You rule!
Mark
I am very familiar with this song. I've always loved this song. You've done a pretty kick ass version! And your singing is pretty spot on. you definitely need to use it more ;)
Really nice job here Andrew - great vox and guitar!! I like alot of Muse's tunes, but not familiar with this one - I think you sing great, keep doing it bro! I'd luv to hear you and Sasha sing together on a tune!!
I'm a big Muse fan, I have every song they've ever released.
You did an outstanding job, and there is nothing wrong with your voice. It's very smooth and soothing, you do a great job holding notes and timing your vocals with your music.
I wish more people would cover Muse songs, but their style is pretty complex.
Fantatsic! I am also a big Muse fan and think you did a great job. You have a great voice, please keep singing!
Cheers,
Nigel
I'm not familiar with the original, but this unplugged version is GREAT!! Your voice is really good, loved also the gtr sound! Nice job!

I'd love to be the guy who says.... I'm not much of a singer, but here it is..... then deliver like a friggin Nuclear weapon. I happen to know for fact that I'm not that person.
You on the other hand...... This is as sweet as it gets. This undoubtedly is better than the original in my book. Just awesome.

I was thinking the same thing! But as you threw in "I just whipped this up, like, six minutes ago" there could be an angry and jealous mob on your hands as well, Andrew. ;D I'm the one with the pitchfork...
A frickin' awesome tune!!!
Not familiar with the original but I like this... and think the quality and feeling in the voice is wonderful!
The song is new to me as well, but this is a great cover! Very hypnotic, and yes a terrific voice.
Frank
Tremendous vocals. I think its nothing short of awesome!!!
First time I,ve heard your vox just too good, this is excellent work you,ve got to post more, don,t know this song but if it,s as good as this it must be truly too good, love it !!
John
Whooooo whoooooo whoooooo. This is damn beautiful. You must do more singing!!!!! You must, it is very good, very expressive, very appealing. This is very cool.
Thanks to everyone, seriously did not really not rate myself as much of a singer but its amazing what comments like these will do for your confidence!!
To avoid angry mobs with pitchforks, I promise not to downgrade my vocal abilities in the future ;)
Great stuff you sound like the guy from orange juice. whats his name again??
Tom
Just remembered its Edwyn Collins!!

I hope you keep singing man...
Doing any Muse song at all takes some balls man!
This is such a great song, and I love your take on it!
Well done, like most of the other guys have said, you have a great voice and you really make it work with this song.
;D
A great performance !!
Great interpretation of this song, you've really made it your own !!
Just had another listen, just top work loved it!!
Unbelievable.
Just unbelievable. This is one of my favourite driving songs (you know that bit of the A1 just south of Peterbrough where it goes into 4 lanes and the national speed limit no longer applies because of all the spacecraft using it as a launching strip.....) 100+ pedal to the metal.
This is a superb version. You have done a really great job.
And I agree, more singing.
H;
If this was pretty much one take, I'd f*ckin' love to hear a polished version :o
I've always liked the early, pre Freddie-Mecury-a-like side of Muse.
The Muse version I didn't like. Way, way too Queen pomp ... and I really don't like Queen!!
Then you came along with this version & proved that there's a bloody good song lurking beneath.
It's Muse meets Radiohead.
Melancholy, but magnificent.

OTD Bump! Beauty! Where is Andrew?
This is really good man, I love your voice. I too receive the raidiohead vibe and dig it quite alot!
Rock on!
what a superb take on an excellent song - I love the accoustic arrangement, works wonderfully! I also have to agree with the positive comments about your vox - spot on! Definitely more singing on your part please, you have a great voice!
andy
I'm quite partial to a bit of muse. This works really well!
Sounds a bit like radiohead which ain't bad either :-)
