this is another nick cave and the bad seeds song. tho i think he took a johnny cash song and rewrote it. this was a bugger to do. took two days. used my daughters £10 kids guitar that goes out of tune when you look at it. all done via onboard mike so foot tapping and my bad sinuses picked up. recorded rhythm guitar, a bassline and a lead which is drowned in the final mix and lead vocal. when i went to bounce these tracks my sd card started playing up. so i imported the four tracks to cubase. this was a piece of good fortune cos i then pitchshifted the bass line down an octave. re imported the mixdown to a new sd card added two backing vox and micro br drums then threw tons of reverb at it. its about 6 minutes long so had to shrink it a good bit.
Really great job ORH, the whole package is great. This fest is bringing so many incredible performances out of folks, and this is one. Really great singing here.

Two days? Takes me that long to find my guitar, sometimes. This is great, Jim! I'm not familiar with the song, but I like it a lot. The lyrics are engaging. Holds your attention all the way through. The vocals and all the reverb fit the mood perfectly. Nice work!
