Got a Punk feel to it!

....man, thank you!!! Hmmmm lyrics :
You Lie, You Cry, You Bleed on bended knees. You Try, You Die, From Little Nooses hang your greed. Control my Thoughts @ all costs, So full of hatetred that you bleed.
GoodBye
Why do you waste, Why do you taste, when losing all is what you crave. No Boundries known, True feelings shone, Deaf Dumb & Blind thoughts are your needs
Goodbye.
dude, this is a nice rocking song! I completely dig it. This is definitely piepod material.
On the first listen, I used my pc speakers - a fairly good set. The vocals were low in the mix. On the second listen, I used cans, and it sounded very good.
Great song, great job here. You sure have a strong voice, great stuff. I really like it a lot.
One some kind of way the vocals remind me on very old David Bowie stuff.
You did a good job.... 8)
Oh man!!!! Thank you guys!!!!!!!!!
My kind of Lyrics!
Catchy stuff!
Nice 1st post!
You should bring up the vox a little in the mix tho....
LG
I've gone back & forth w/ the vocal levels.....maybe I'll go a tad louder....
Nice heavy, metal song - cool guitar fx - great bottom end !! I think your singing fits this tune just fine !!
You sure got it going on! Your vocals sound pretty good to me!!. Either way it works. If this is your first post. You are off to a great start with the BR. Sounds like you are getting it figured out!!
Again, I was terrified to post this....I've always worked with a "Band" & hid a bit in the back....you guys have really made my day here!!!
I like the underlying menace in the guitars on this. The vocals do sound a bit like Bowie, and a more recent band called Midnight Juggernauts. I would drop the drums slightly and bring the vox up a touch, but I'm just nitpicking, lol. This is a great one.
This is how "Green" I am Greeny---I didn't know I could drop the drum volume!!!! HA!!
GREAT first post !!!! You've sure got skills. Both playing and songwriting is really good.
The music is very Metallica like in places with Bowie style vocal. Not a bad combo, and a great first song, can't wait to hear more from you.
Great first track. I really like the part in the verse where the guitar tension builds up. Good vocals also. Let's hear more.
Mike
More to come
Wow - You did a great job for a first recording. Excellent musicianship, guitar tones and bass playing! You didn't even color your vocals too much with distortion effects, which people do at first usually. Maybe a little less but overall sounds great.
All I can say is fantastic!! Great job.
Welcome and see you around,
Mark
Thanks Mark, it means a lot to me!!
Hey great metal track really drives along, the vox are excellent and the guitar is cool, agree with Greeny bing down the volume on the drums to make it even better.
Yep, great 1st one. Can't wait to see what the next one's gonna be like!!!
Good driving dark sound here.
....I'm currently trying to figure out what will be next...
Very powerful stuff, great first attempt! For someone that isn't a vocalist, you have a very powerful voice, don't be frightened of it. You might want to experiment with some effects to help it belnd in to the mix a bit and make you feel confident about having it a bit higher. Just tweak that drum volume (checl out the tutorials on this site to find out how) and you have a killer mix as well as a killer song.
Cheers,
Nigel
...Thank you Nigel!! I'm gonna take your advice ( as well as others...) & do a "Remix" of Goodbye. All of your kind words are easing my nerves as I'm going to be recording another round of vocals soon on some new stuff.
Sounds great on my headphones. Would like to what you used to distort the vocals. They came out excellent. Sometimes I like to do that sort of thing but I'm not really sure what I'm doing with it. If others have ideas about, I'd like to hear those too. Thanks.
i used an old digitech stomp box called vocal 300. the preset is called lo-fi.
