Damn man, you slay me with this one. I have loved this song my whole life, I play it all the time, but damn man what a cover. This is like the definitive cover, it may even be better (dare I say it, the horror) than the original. John Lennon always did say he sang this flat, well good sir, you did not sing this flat, you sang this as if this song means more than life itself to you. Beautiful. when you put your mind to something it really comes out great. What a full rich soundscape you have created. I don't think anybody on here will dare cover this song now, after this. This one is going to get many a BUMP in the future, it is BUMPworthy in the extreme. WOW. Like Mark said sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Very nice! As it first started, I thought: Oooops, too slow. But nope, it doesn't drag... it comes across very smooth. The clarity and tone of the guitars and vocals is pleasing. And of course the built-in English accent helps a lot too. lol Fine job!

I have The Beatles Complete Guitar Edition songbook (bequeathed to me by my late brother). Some years ago I took one look at Across the Universe and didn't bother, much too hard to even contemplate. Also bequeathed was an album Beatles Rarities, on which is a very stripped-down version of A.T.U.

This is one of my fave Beatles songs of all time, just love the chord sequence. Like Hooper, I thought you might have taken it a bit slow but it really works - you can savour the words more. The guitars sound great, really dreamy and you vox and harmonies are spot on. Great stuff, really, really like this one. Another great vocal performance from you btw.
This is also my favourite misheard lyric - as a kid listening to Radio 1 on crappy radios I was convinced the chorus started "Jackaroo, there you are", which I always thought was an odd lyric!

I sure missed this one. There's not much more to say that already hasn't been said, but I can confidently say this is one of the greatest covers I've ever heard, and it happens to be of one of my favorite songs of all time. John Lennon is also my hero, my "god," if you will, so I understand and share the reverence you have for him. To dare even attempt this take balls of titanium. To do it with such elegance and precision takes incredible talent, which is obviously in you and impossible to teach. I, like some others, thought it was too slow at first, but soon after you start singing, that thought fades away. I like the added BG vocals that were not present in the original. I like, no LOVE, everything about this. Do you have an album out yet? I will purchase it in a second.
