Here is an original that I had the basic verse idea for years now. Completely forgot about it until recently but took time to lay it down and finish it up. I finally have a pedalboard put together so the on electric tracks I used lots of effects from those pedals. Right now I'm fighting off a cold but I was well enough to put the vocals down today. ;D Enjoy...
Godin acoustic
Hagstrom Impala guitar
Epiphone Viola bass
GarageBand drums and organ
Mellotron app
Shure SM 57 & 58
Pedals: Strymon Deco, Boss Blues Driver and Tremolo, MXR Phase 90, Fender Hammertone Fuzz, JHS Octave Reverb
Recorded in GarageBand, mastered on BandLab
The drive and melodicism of the verses is incredible; instant ear candy. And then the move from the tension of the verses to the more flowing, relaxed choruses is a very nice contrast. A great tune to listen to with one's eyes closed and just lose oneself in the moment.
Excellent lyric...... the music flows along......loving those guitars..nice strings excellent track
Great work, Mr. Berry. Production is first class and excellent writing. Great use of dynamics and cool lyrics.
The beginning reminded me a bit of Olivia Tremor Control (never a bad thing), and it settles into a mellow power pop piece with catchy hooks, along with some fantastic guitar leads.
I'll be listening to this one again (and again).
Top-drawer stuff, Keith!

This is a real winner Keith! Eat your heart out Mr. Rundgren. I agree this is hit material. An excellent mix, production and performances. On my second listen...The dynamics, stereo spread and depth of field are extraordinary, nicely done!
