• Serial Killers Fest - Songs about serial killers.
• Down With The Kids Fest - Being down with the kids is about not being an old codger, a curmudgeonly grump. Someone who has that spark of youth and can relate to young people on their level. Something we probably fail to achieve, which is what I had in mind. Its a rather UK based phrase.
• Instrument Fest - Write an original song about one or more musical instruments. Could be about a type of instrument (ie; guitar, piano, drums, clarinet, etc.). Could be about a specific brand and/or model of instrument (Les Paul, Strat, Steinway, Slingerland, Minimoog, etc.). Could be about several instruments. For example, you might want to write a song about the process of creating a multitrack recording where each verse is about one instrument (verse one might be creating the drum track, verse two might be rhythm guitar, verse three might be bass, etc.).
• SpringFest - Write an original song about any facet of Spring, such as the rebirth of blossoms and other plants, or when a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love.

• William Burke and William Hare - The Burke and Hare murders were a series of sixteen murders committed over a period of about ten months in 1828 in Edinburgh, Scotland. They were undertaken by William Burke and William Hare, who sold the corpses to Robert Knox for dissection at his anatomy lectures.
• Jack the Ripper - Jack the Ripper was an unidentified serial killer who was active in and around the impoverished Whitechapel district of London in 1888.
• H. H. Holmes - H. H. Holmes, was an American con artist and serial killer active between 1891 and 1894.
• Fred and Rose West - Fred West was an English serial killer, who committed at least twelve murders between 1967 and 1987 in Gloucestershire, the majority with his second wife, Rose West.
  
  
• John Wayne Gacy - An American serial killer and sex offender who raped, tortured, and murdered at least 33 young men and boys in Norwood Park Township, near Chicago, Illinois (1972-1978).
• Harold Shipman - An English doctor in general practice and serial killer. He is considered to be one of the most prolific serial killers in modern history, with an estimated 284 victims (1975-1998).
• David Berkowitz (aka The Son of Sam) - An American serial killer who pled guilty to perpetrating eight shootings in New York City between July 1976 and July 1977, which resulted in six fatalities.
• Jeffrey Dahmer - An American serial killer and sex offender who killed and dismembered seventeen men and boys between 1978 and 1991. Many of his later murders involved necrophilia, cannibalism, and the permanent preservation of body parts - typically all or part of the skeleton.
• Lucy Letby - A British former neonatal nurse who was convicted of the murders of seven infants and the attempted murders of seven others between June 2015 and June 2016.

I'm very happy that this topic won. I've long been planning to do a concept album of the soundtrack to an imaginary horror movie musical about a supernatural serial killer (not one from an existing movie, but something I made up). It kind of feels like fate, insofar as I just joined this site last week, and now this Festival is about to begin (and judging from the past Festival Jukeboxes that I've just taken a look at, it looks like there's no prohibition against submitting multiple tracks to a given Festival over the course of the three months). Maybe this is the opportunity / kick in the butt I need to finally work on it!
