Hello all -
There's a reason behind me not posting for 4 years...
The spirit moved in me today, this is a fairly hurried version of On Melancholy Hill, time grabbed between painting and joinery and walking the dog.
So good to hear you back Mike and you've done a great version of this song. I was never big on Gorillaz but I did get quite into the Plastic Beach album - think it was due to Mick Jones and Paul Simenon playing with them at the time.

Uplifting not unlike the sunshine in Yorkshire good one Mike pleased you found time to play
So good to hear you again!

That's the way to do it. And so well done. I love the vocal effect – both the AM-radio effect, and how you performed it sung/spoken and intimate.
When I was in high school, I was really into punk and animation. I had this idea: What if I did a band where the audience never saw the performers, but instead we were represented by animated characters. I thought about it for awhile. Seemed like a lot of work. Not realistic. Gave up on the idea.
Thanks for everything you do for Songcrafters, even when you go years without posting a song.
It's great to see you are back to recording and posting Flash! It sounds like you haven't lost a step in the 4 years absence because this song is done so well!
Excellent cover Mike, great to hear you back on here again.
glad you got yer mojo back, gaun yersel.
Not a song I knew previously, but I love your version of it.
Great to see you've posted again Harry! Excellent cover of this song, the keys and vocals are particularly lovely. Such a breezy feel! 8)
Great to hear your music on the site again - a site for which you do so much.
Great version. I'm particularly fond of the little arpeggiated synth lines. I like a good arp!
Great cover of a Gorillaz song. Nice to hear new recordings from you! Well produced, as well!
