Here's another song from me which took a while to make! This song was the other song I recorded using my friend Cole's old Mesa before he sold it. I really dig the tones I got here using the Grestch and Strat with it 8). Took a while to think of what to do for the chorus but I got to nice place. Enjoy...
90s Mesa Boogie Amp for guitars
Grestch Electromatic 5422T (for rhythm)
Fender Stratocaster (for leads)
Epiphone Embassy Bass
Godin Acoustic guitars
GarageBand Drums and Organ
Shure SM 58 and condenser mic
MXR Phase 90 (for solo) and Strymon Deco (for vocals)
Recorded on GarageBand, mastered in BandLab
mastered in bandlab 8)
well young Berry this is spectacular...
vocally outstanding... I could comp you but I will refrain because your singing is amazing...
yes, those guitars rock and the tone is actually unique... you coaxed nice things forth from the strat, gretsch, and godin through the Mesa... those amps are killer sounding
a really wonderful songwriting talent you are.. and real pro recording as well.. lots of wonderful aural delights along the way to mesmerize the senses...
video has its place but for me audio will always be king. organ add is real sweet too
bravo, standing ovation from me.
This sounds really good .. the guitars the vocals, everything is all top notch..
Very well mixed and mastered also
Great work
You got some great tones with the Gretsch and Stratocaster through the Mesa Boogie. There's something so natural about the sound you get from miking an amp, which is refreshing in these days of modeled amps. And just enough acoustic guitar so you know it's there.
I love how well it all hangs together, even if the chorus took a bit more time - it sounds just right.
This is really good. Great guitar sounds, love the vocals and harmonies and overall excellent production.
And it really is all in time! (unlike some of my work! ;D )
Fine song. Well crafted, performed and produced! 8)
Very nicely produced pop rock track, cool groove and guitars and vocals, pro sound and enjoyable, guitars sound great hope you got this released as people should reaslly like it
Massive Keith. From the off this comes out of the gate smashing it. That main focal riff gets in your head and doesn't want to leave. I agree the sound of the guitars is great. this would be great live.

I like this :) Very good song and love the way its recorded. I really should pay more attention to my ipad and what it can do.
Fantastic
This is so smooth! Such a talent! Great song with a wonderful production. The guitar sounds sure are tasty and i'm really digging your vocals. You've got a vocal sound of your own and it's always positively vintage/retro sounding :)
Love this, Keith. Cool contemporary rock with excellent production/instrumentation. Great vocal work too both with lead vox and backing harmonies. Those guitars sound so damn good, mate.
Great song and coupled with marvellous production. Very impressive.
Really cool.
I shall listen again.

Yes just the best on SC, so well produced with the best songwriting, cool as you like, magic!!
Excellent work, just looking at the stuff you used, that's some set up.
That Grestch sounds excellent as does the boogie amp.
A rocker for sure, excellent strat work as well.
Great stuff.
Such a great, catchy song all the way through. Your vocal is really strong, the music is great, those guitars sound brilliant, love that tone. Has a 60's rock sound with a 90's grunge too.
Excellent stuff!!
This is so good Keith! I keep getting hints of Buffalo Springfield/Stephen Stills as I listen but it's definitely all you. Great playing, singing, mixing. produciton and mastering...bravo!
I liked this right from the start! So well written, performed and produced. The chorus is so sweet!
Brilliant!
I was having a conversation about this song with Zoltan... it went like this, me to Z..
"I love that Mesa Amp sound Keith got on that song. Its got me thinking about micing an amp. Problem is I don't have an amp."
he replies back... "yeah, that ain't the amp, that is all him."
I see what he means.. this guy could take any gear and make it sound great.
another perfect song and perfect recording! still digging it

Haha, thanks Stephen! It means a lot to me to hear you guys say that :)
Though to be fair, I was fiddling around with the knobs on the amp for like a solid hour to get sound I wanted out of 'er ;)
what a cool song! chorus and verse are equally beautiful, the sound is gorgeous, the playing perfect. The lyrics sound a bit dark, not sure what they're all about but strangely I can relate though lol.
This is fabulous, very glad I got a listen (Or ten!). Love the track layout and vocal work. I can tell you put a lot of effort in this superb recording.
And that bass line, I would have loved to have come up with it myself!
And it's totally crankable, mastered very well. Worthy of the Tim Horton's drive thru at top volume.
Yes, it's Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!
Mark
Love your clever chord changes and your melody work. This is an outstanding piece of music.

even conjured up a Tim Hortons comment! On another great listen I felt robbed at the end of this gem!
The Sound Effect said "Best on SC!"
I could totally agree there but that is also depending on views and like.
but this song is perfect.
I could say Badfinger is still alive and I think people could believe this was a song of theirs... and as others have said as well... but no way.. this is still all you.
I bet that Mesa will be a regret sell... I hope they got a nice sum for it so it won't sting as much later.
I really like where it goes at 2:40 with the voice against that cool bass/guitar thing... but I still wish this went for another minute... man this was as good as anything I ever heard from the 70's and that was a great music decade.

Yeah Stephen, that's the only thing I think I would change. I'd jam out the outro/telephone voice part a little more! ;D
Oh well, thank you for listening and enjoying it again!
missed this little gem when it was first posted. totally fabulous track with everything so bloody good! those guitars sound amazing and radio ready production. super-duper job mate.
