Title: Can't keep my inner voice quiet while meditating (part 1)
Post by: Geir on October 22, 2024, 08:47:50 AM
Sorry for my absence and lack of participation lately. Been a rather tough couple of months

Hope to change that.

Here's a small step......

Don't feel bad if you fall asleep to it...... I do almost every night  ::)

I am sitting taking a break and this music is perfect for it well done

Dreamy and groovy. Perhaps even slightly trippy. The guitar playing is floaty. It made me think of salted herrings. Doing their thing. Floating. Enjoying the calm waters while a huge codfish blasted by... Shaken, not stirred the song ended somewhat abruptly.

I thought I commented on this... weird...

fall asleep to this?  not me... although the piece is relaxing and mesmerizing... now getting a bit buzzed and drifting deep into the trance of the music yes... for sure.

i love the piano vs the guitar... talking the rhythm.. the drums work real nice.. and that groovy bass is dreamy.
the lead guitar is way up there... this kind of goes into sychodelic territory... I dig stuff like this... the hi hat is nice.

I enjoyed this..it's the type of music I listen to when I can't get to sleep. So relaxing that you stop having thoughts and let your mind go blank zzzzz  zzzzzz   zzzzzz

With leads and tones like this, who could fall asleep? I hung onto every rif in anticipation of the next! Great piece of work! 8)

I like this kind of thing. The repetitive piano backing is quite hypnotic. Great guitar tone and well played.

Good title and veyr fitting for the instrumental style of the track, cool groove and the guitars bring a 60's vibe to the trackm ideal track for puffing the magic dragon too. could listen to more if was longer, i was really into the vibe, nice to hear

The droning bass thumps, drums and the piano make a cool musical bed to solo over. I'm sitting back and taking it all in. The lushful, floating lead work is super stuff Geir...nice!

Cool stuff, Geir.  Gentle and full of tasteful playing.

Glad to hear you're starting to feel better.

Loved it - an interesting drone going on between the piano and bass (and drums), and the guitar goes on its way, exploring into unexpected spaces. I enjoyed it, and hope things are better your way.

Great vibe to this. The jamband fan in me loves a good one-chord vamp if in the right hands. You can get lost in those great tones. I started experimenting with starting with jams and working a sound around it after the fact with John. Would love to see this happen here.

Great post.

Thanx so much for the kind comments guys. Much appreciated!

One funny detail ... there's no piano in this piece. I guess the clean Tele blended with some of the overtones from the synth merge together to make it sound like a piano.

I hope to make some more "songs" soon, but I find it quite soothing to jam along to a one or two chord vamp sometimes. It challenges you in another way than more complex chord progressions do.

Anyway thank you ... and have a nice day and night whenever you are !

Nice to hear another track from you! Great jamming here, the steady chords in the back really let the guitar fly and the bass groovin'. Lots of cool little licks here!

I love instrumentals and this is really super good.. as good as they get really... there is alot to dig into...and yes for some drifting off to sleep this could be the track but my mind is fired by sounds like this and it actually fires my mind up... doesn't mean i don't get relaxed to it because this is.
as good as this is the drums really make it work so well.
nice post... really good
