HEy all,
New here and new to a BR-1600 I just got for $50.
I have read the manual here and there and it's is driving me nuts LOL!!!
I've recorded be fore with 8trk reel to reel and it was sooooo much easier for me... I'm old hahaaa
I found the site "looperman" and have DLed a few keyboard loop files to use.
No matter what I do, Ican't seem to figure out how to have the short files loop and play for the song duration.
Am I doing something wrong, can this not be done?
Can someone point me in the right direction for instruction for idiots? LOL!!
Otherwise, awesome site and hope to contribute some day!
Welcome BadMonkeyMusi! I can't help you as I've never had a 1600 (just mbr, br-800 and br-80), but I'm sure some of the 1600 users can help.
Btw that was an insanely good price you got!!!!!
I hope this helps.

Thanks, Blooby, for the link. I have the BR1200 and there is a lot of relevant info there.
A side note. On the site it says: '...Compatibility Note:
Due to the age of the product, the BR-1200CD was last compatible with Window 7 and Mac OS X 10.15. Later operating system are not compatible and sadly will not work properly.'
Last year I did some housekeeping on my BR1200 and used a Windows desktop and Windows laptop to transfer files between them and the BR1200 – one machine is Win 10 and the other Win 11 and both worked without any problems. So all was good. 8)
Well aboard from Mississippi

Welcome from Madagascar. I hope you stick around and share and listen and participate.
I joined this forum when I had one specific question about a Boss recorder. That was more than 15 years ago.
Sorry for the long delay, lots of stuff happening...
Thanks for the welcomes, I appreciate it!
And Blooby, I saw the link and it doesn't really help with this exact issue.
Apparently, you can't use any other import feature for using loops...
I was using the audio import not loop import.
Having issues with that way anyway, I'll post a new thread for this exact issue...
But thanks again for the welcomes! :)
