A great feel Geir. I'm a fan. I love the pauses too. It reminds me not to fill up all the spaces. Cool to watch too.
What a soulful jam! The youtube thin was awesome. What effect was you using?
Oh and this is a great example of slow deliberate articulation...I think I have you fever now! lol Hope you better Geir! :)
Thanx guys !! This was my first video effort ever so I'm still gonna experiment a bit ... some more vid's may come later ... vid fx was "hue, cycles entire color spectrum"

Wow! That's like a video tutorial! I could learn a lot from watching you play lead like this (and I really need some learning, lol). It's great to see it, but the playing itself is sublime. Such controlled, uncluttered tone. 'Impressive' doesn't even cover it. AMAZING! REALLY AMAZING!!!!!!!
Pretty incredible! The feel, tone, phrasing, EVERYTHING!
Is that a JEM you are playing? Nice guitar! You even got the Steve Vai "fan blowing your hair" thing going on! AWESOME! ;D

he he ... thought someone would notice the Vai fan thing :D ... and the guitar is a Ibanez Universe (UV-777) (no 000125 so I guess it's one of the first produced)
Thanx for the kind words Mark, Tim and Saijinn
its all been said realy.
WONDERFUL
Geir, it is so great to watch you at work here. You are one scruffy son of a gun (I should talk!). I just may use this as a tutorial myself and play along with this, following your lead. I am glad to finally have the picture of what a great Norwegian guitar player looks like (you look a little bit like Neil Young). You play this flawlessly, its all live, like you have been playing your whole life. Don't use that pinky much do you. The look on your face is priceless, you are really feeling that. Great post Geir, thanks.
LOL ... I'm scruffy alright !! but remember I've been in bed for a week so appearances haven't been my first concern 8) ( if you want a polished picture of me, check out my soundclick page ... now there's a nice fella ;D )
Thanx for the kind words tho BB. Don't know 'bout flawless, ... it's just about covering your mistakes :D
There ARE no mistakes! Only grace notes!
;)
Excellent guitar playing Geir - very cool!! Great tone, wah, sustain, etc!!
I can't watch the video right now, but your recording is T-rrific!! Slow-groovin bluezzz licks!! A touch of Vai & Satriani....dude!!

It was actually unintentional to begin with, I had that fan because of the heat (and a small amount of fever), but I did have certain Vai concerts in the back of my head when I moved the fan near to the camera before recording ;D
Was classic! :)
I'm lost for words man!
I couldn't describe the buzz I got from that.......
Sublime G!
Reminds me of that video you posted with the Tri-guitar!
Cool Guitar by the way!
Peace

hhaha awesome vid man, love the wahwah.
I'm gonna try out this backer this weekend for a change of pace from crunching production. It's really cool to hear everyones different approach.
Geir that is f*cking freezing! I am speechless...Way to go you handsome devil!
I don't know what to say. That is one of best performances I have ever seen. I.......... am blank. And to think you humbles yourself and played BoJangles. Don't take offense at this, but you know me being from the USA (although my grandparents were Norweigian) I pictured you more like a viking, Blonde wearing a helmet with horns. Big and burly on a Viking ship. LOL Nice surprise and to see you get into the music was great!!
