Title: Saijinn's Bluesy Jam
Post by: Saijinn Maas on June 24, 2009, 01:03:14 PM
Here is my entry for the Bluesy Jam Challenge.

I had a blast playing with this. This is a GREAT backing track. I love playing in Gm.

And the subtle lead that is there DIDN'T bother me as much as I thought it would. It was pretty easy to focus it out and just feel the music. ;)

Great playing Saijinn.  Real fine touch.  I really like Gm also, it feels like a good spot on the neck for a lot of those sweet notes I find.  And you are hitting all the sweet notes!

YEs I agree Saijinn this is a great backer.  Very inspiring.  And I again am almost speechles..  Everyones versiions are neat.  YOu had some different licks in there.  Sounded really great. Not sure what they were but awesome. YOu never sounded in a hurry.  Just sweet soulful music.

That's okay... I'm not too sure what they were either ;)

Theory is something I never bothered really learning. I just play by feel and tone.

I almost wanna do another one to this same backing-track because it was so much fun. heh

This is very special. There are some beautiful technical skills and touches in this, but most importantly, it's played with real emotion. You're WAY beyond my limited pentatonics! Outstanding job.

Not the ones I play though, lol. I think I'm stuck at A minor ones... or something. I have no idea. It's all mumbo-jumbo to me!

Same here. People start talking theory and I just stare at them blankly. But you get a guitar in my hands and all I see are patterns. What they are called is irrelevant to me. heh

Who needs a mixolydian when you can play like that! Nice tone, tasteful note selection, and good emotional technique. Very nicely done, Saijinn.

Very cool blues. Just listeneed to your Okie Dokie blues as well and it's clear you have "blues" blood coursing through your veins. Great playing.

Cheers,
