New Gear Used: Danelectro 57 Guitar, Denver Fretless Uke Bass, Shure Portable Condenser Mic
After a decent amount of time toying with what to do as my last song for new gearfest (had to get the uke bass in there!),I fell back on a semi idea Ive had which had yet to be recorded. I used the condenser on the acoustic tracks (on two Godins) and used my Danoelectro for all the electric guitar parts (with the Blues Jr and Strymon Deco pedal). I added a lot of slide to this which I dont normally do. I used the Gargeband autodrummer again, which was a walk in the park compared to how I usually do the drums. I think I'll be using "Kyle" more ;) . Enjoy...
Such beautiful, top-drawer writing and execution. Melodic hooks all over the place and really poignant chords. Those lead slide guitar lines are so 'George' - lovely. What a superb piece of work. I should start crediting 'Darcy' and 'Mason' on my GB drum tracks, lol.
Oh my word! What a song! What a performance! Brilliant recording - and that slide guitar...
Very impressive all round - (spot the understatement).

Oh yes can only agree with what's been said it's a beauty of track
Cool harmony slide work...I also hear hints of George! In fact several parts of this song bring George to mind. Excellent melody, vocals and lyrics. The acoustic guitars are so toneful and the Uke bass sounds huge! Very good songwriting and playing.
Great song, vocals are really good and so are the lyrics .. Also really like the drums and guitars and the vibe of the song .. Great songwriting..
Fantastic bit of songwriting...it's like John Mayer meets George Harrison meets Pink Floyd meets Greeny......lol........so much to love here.....
Very pro all the way around... like in top notch production... stellar songwriting and very fine musicanship everywhere on this.
This does remind of some past greats... I really loved 70's music and this would pocket right into the best of it... I feel fortunate to be a part of this site and actually get to hear stuff like this... it's so much better than the typical popular driv these days... .. but man you nailed this..
You really put out some quality work Keith. This is another fantastic tune. I very much like the little turns in your songs when you think it's going to go one way, it goes the other. You have real talent, and I'm glad that I have had a chance to hear it.
Killer tune, I've come back to this one a couple times, just great! Rib sticking chord changes, love that.
A well constructed song that is infectious to the ear!
Stunning songwriting and performance as always, Keith! So beautiful and catchy, indeed. George Harrison style guitar additions works well. Superb harmonies, too...
Definitely has that Apple Records sound to it. Lovely, lovely tune.

This is a great track, Keith. Everything shines and the production is first class. As others have already said, the slide is excellent and reminiscent of Harrison, giving this song a sort of Beatles vibe. Having said that, the originality here is spot on with lovely chord progressions and great lyrics.
nice production on this track, nicely sung and recorded. like the slide and feel of the track. has a bit of a 60's feel to it well sort of, enjoyed
First off what a great song and recording, excellent enjoyed it lots!
Thanks for the gear rundown too always interesting to hear how people use their gear and instruments.
Again well done, you stuff is always top drawer!
Great song and performance. I definitely got the George Harrison vibe from the slide as well. The Danelectro sounds sweet!
You've got some great new gear! And they really do sound fine... Still i'm sure Señor BerryPatch could be playing an old sock and we'd all be going: OOoh... What a sound! :D You really do command your gear and not the other way around.
That playing is so good. Those melodies are so strong. And those vocals are so great. I really like your voice. Your songwriting is positively stuck in all the good stuff and the best years.
Infectous and hugely enjoyable song.
Just wow!!!! George harrison, ot the late acoustic eric clapton, thats what this song pairs. Absolutely perfect writing and playing! Bravo berrypatch (amazing and new chords sequence, i love it)
This is a brilliant track. The slide work adds so much melodically. The vocal overlays and harmonies ....
There is so much good here that it's hard to enumerate. I'm going to stop trying and just say: I like this.
This a top-notch slice of early Seventies-style power pop crossing into some soft rock territory. Love the GH-style slide work, which enhances the song so well.
Beautifully done, and a great choice for the 2023 Songcrafters sampler.
Yeah, this song is a thing of beauty and wonder....so well put together
This is a top notch tune. Great combination of acoustic and electric guitar work.
:) John B
Yeah, this surely is the next level stuff. But it shouldn't come as a surprise. BerryPatch is on his own level and coming from the long lineage of Berry musicians.
I can only hope there's a statue erected in honour of the great Berries.
I really enjoy the 60-70s vibe here. The vocal sound. The playing. The arrangement. The songwriting. So great!
Well I am glad this got put here as I missed it the first time which would have been a shame as it is such a killer track well done
