Another one from me and greeny (he says it's my turn to post lol)
It applies for the new gear fest cause I used a new VST in this backtrack: instead of the usual yamaha C7 VST piano you find a new e-piano VST ('wurlitzer' setting).
The chords are quite standard, but Tim managed to turn them into something special, once again!
Mañana
somewhere in the universe
somewhere on a dead end street
drinking hard and playing solitaire
like Napoleon in defeat
my life feels like a capsized boat
listing in a dark green sea
and sirens in the downtown bars
won't even turn their song on me
she said manana means tomorrow
and tomorrow is a brand new day
in winter this beach looks like sorrow
but wait until the sun shines these clouds away
i walk down to the intersection
just a stone's throw from the sea
but the only stones that are being thrown
are the raindrops falling down on me
but wait until the summer comes
the quiet evenings gold and warm
and when the music starts again
the seratonin starts to swarm
manana we need an ultraviolet kiss
let's raise a glass and drink to this
she said manana means tomorrow
and tomorrow is a brand new day
in winter this beach looks like sorrow
but wait until the sun shines these clouds away
manana we need an ultraviolet kiss
let's raise a glass and drink to this
oh this is really special! I really love that dreamy keyboard... it's so 70's pop... and I loved those songs... reminds me of "Dancing In The Moonlight"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEb8tuYhDBIand those guys don't look anything like the sound to me... I never would have guessed... dudes, when you get get sounding like that you have done something...and wow... you did... beautiful work men...
Spectacular song lads
Great song, guys. Love the Wurly sound.
Excellent lyrics and melody. The a cappella at the end is a nice touch.
Beautiful guys. Great to hear something uplifting like this, but there is that ying yang between hope and sorrow which is where the magic is for me, We are feeling the journey, full of emotion. Beautiful stuff lads.
Mike
This so good. Outrageously catchy, hugely uplifting and - well, I'm running out of superlatives. It absolutely deserves wider coverage. The a capella bit at the end is inspired.
And to be really sad - I love the snare sound. I am a sucker for a good snare sound.
Greco and Green - I'm a fan.
Paul
Very nice uplifting song and great collab. Love that 70's style electric piano and stellar vocal from Tim.
Excellent song, that circular Wurtlizer riff is hypnotic. Tim's vocal and lyrics really fit this song well. Great 70s throwback sound!
"This is awesome!!" - My best way to describe this excellent tune!
Two great songs for the price of one! First i got to enjoy the song by Maxit & Greeny and what a delight it was.
Then i half-blindly clicked on the YT video Stephen had posted and what a song that was too! I was ready object and offer a link to the Dancing in the Moonlight by Thin Lizzy, but this one was out of sight too.
And as i'm feeling generous i'm going to share y'all a THIRD piece of greatness that suits all of you. I'm sure.

I'm going to claim he's still got my cover of the King Harvest song playing in his head :)
Sweet song all around. That keyboard riff really pushes the song over the edge to greatness, but the lyrics and singing are really special also!
