Title: Bluesy Help
Post by: AverGo on June 23, 2009, 04:06:57 AM
With this, I've been practising alot since yesterday, it's a bit more involved.
What I would really like to know is, which one you prefer and why. So I can aim in the right direction.

I won't post anymore of Bluesy, as much as I love playin' to this backing track. I just really need this forums help.

Thanks.

Love the tone - just the right creamy-yet-distorted balance. Some very nice, tasteful licks too. Great work!

There is nothing wrong here at all. With this progression don't be afraid to jump out of that blues box and grab some harmonic minor notes. Adds some dimension with changes. But, there is nothing wrong with this at all, good Jam!

This is a little more polished sounding.  It is hard to tell, they both sound really good.  Those high bends are really great.  I would suggest trying a little more hammer on/off stuff if you are looking for something to mix this up a bit with.

Could you please post the backer all by itself on another thread (maybe in colabs section).  I would love to play with this backer and maybe post a version of this.  This could be the start of another backer lead-over challenge.  We have done this in the past, somebody posts a backer they like and a few of us do a lead over it and we all post, great fun and you get to hear other interpretations.  Look back in the history for some of these backer challenges we have done.  Anyway, If you don't mind posting the backer it would be awsome, it sounds really great.

Thanks Everyone for your comments.
Basically I recorded every take, until I relaxed and got something half decent to post.
