64 got a new recorder and I thought it would be the perfect time for a collaboration. We have been working n this one for a few weeks. Lots going on and I think 64 nailed it. I mixed mostly on the Br80 and mixed vocals in and mastered on the br800.

Tim
Wow this is a huge sound, and the mix sounds great! Some songs stumble with 3/4 timing, but this flows along very naturally. Cool playing, words and vocal Hook. 64, the guitar riffing in the background works wonderfully as does the synths. There are so many cool things happening here that I'm going to have to listen to this several times to take it all in. Well done Hook and 64!!!!!!!
Hook and 64,thats what I like to see.
This is so catchy,I had it on my car and played it about 6 times one after another.
That catchy riff will be in my head all night.
Almost celtic when it kicks in.
Instruments are well balanced and clear in the mix.
The vocal performance is top notch,Elvis Costello meets Frank sinatra.
A really great collab,hugely impressed
Nice collaboration and a great song. Love the music all round. Yeah it has that Celtic vibe but the powerful vocals are almost soulful.

Holy smokes. Great post. Love that stately bagpipey theme, and the production is killer.

this has so many great sounds in there...it's a bit like a Yes track..
diggin this very much.
awesome job and the mix is great.... well done men!
Cool song, guys and great production techniques.
Great song Hook. Thanks for asking me to be part of it. It was a fun project.
Great collab with a big sound.
Take a bow.

Excellent production everything in its place Bravo
Brilliant - and not even close to "Too Much."
Listening on my iPhone speaker and it sounds fab. Great collab guys. What new gear did you get 64?

I bought a Zoom R20 multitrack recorder. See this post (https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?msg=389896).
I recorded the guitar tracks for this song on the Zoom. All of the synth tracks were recorded in Bitwig.
I've been keeping notes about the Zoom's features and quirks. I'll post them in a detailed review at some point. But first I want to explore it a bit more so I don't miss anything.
Great collab, it sounds great. Really liked it ..
This song has it all - too much, and yet somehow remains not overcrowded. Love those soaring 64G leads on top of Hook's solid foundation, top-notch lyrics, and vocals.
Well done, gents!

A great line.
Downloaded to listen to later in headphones. Sounded huge on laptop speakers.
Wow! Sounds like you guys had fun with this, managed to really load it up with a busy palette of sounds and still keep it clean. The synths and guitar parts sound like they belong in the same world. Nice job arranging, playing and mixing!
Great collab, guys!
I love the groove you've created here. Nice instrumentation and everything has put well together!
As promised (https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?msg=390668), I came back for another listen in headphones.

Reminds me of what Elvis Costello said to Steve Nieve for the orchestration on the song "And In Every Home." I'm sure you know it.
Quote from: Chris Ingalls[Costello's] instructions to Nieve were "give full vent to your imagination". He added that this simple direction "gave (the song) this deranged setting". The song almost sounds like what a young music college student would do if you gave him a major label budget, an orchestra, and a former Beatles producer's studio, which is exactly what happened.

(It took me a little while to find that quote, so I hope you appreciate it.)
Like the Costello song, the mega-production is ironic against the lyrics – an anthem of regret, self-doubt, and second guessing. Sentiments with which I am too familiar.
Sounds so good in headphones.
