A few weeks ago I acquired a Boss Br800 and it's been taunting me since. I finally turned it on and recorded this over the last few days. All done on the Br800 except the vocals were recorded on the BR80 in my car. Mixed and mastered on the Br800, I'm really digging it.
While I wrote this in 3 and 3 is in many aspects of the song if someone were to notate this tune I think they would write the verse in 9/8 (9/12?) and the chorus in 6/8...but the drums are definitely in 3/4.
Kala Archtop Tenor Uke, Ibanez A/E bass, Drums-Garageband, electric guitar solo-thumbjam app.
1 distorted uke-stereo
1 clean rhythm uke
1 bass
1 drums-stereo
1 vocal-stereo
1 guitar solo-stereo
Great tune, works well in 3/4.

I enjoyed listening to this earlier but couldn't add comments at the time. You seem to have got to grips with the BR800 !

I love the lyrics and vocals. Nice 3/4 style. The guitars sound very good with those effects.

I was starting to think the whole 3/4 fest voting had been rigged... There were so few songs appearing for this fest. Then Hook comes to the rescue.
The whole song is a thing of a swirly goodness. Usually it's the Hook vocals that take the center. In this case it's the swirly guitar melodies that are the main focus.
Choogle on!
Hi Hook,
Lovely recording.
I am enjoying this tune, and the vocals are really good.
Great guitar as always, and the effects are magical.
Thanks for sharing this beauty.

I enjoy the song very much, but I have to admit I can't feel the 3/4 beat. I think I'm hearing it in the drum part, but the rest isn't falling into it for me. Probably me. 😞

As always cool vocal, cool guitar effects too, enjoy your br 800 it working well!
Wow those lyrics
I must have killed babies in another life
beat a bunch of children and a few wives
I must have gained from the destruction of lives
and now I'm paying it all back in full....only you coud pulll that off.
This is one manic tune.
I would have caved mentally 50 seconds into this.
I can see you in a pit of musical notes trying to pull your way out.
Your musicality is outstanding.
Those FX are memorising and what great lyrics! A touch of psychedelia and a touch of The Cure, all worked in to this fascinating track. The 3/4 tempo is at once elusive then evident. Great work.
A sonic onslaught. I can hear some proggy influences here, maybe even a little Yes in the melodies. I do like the vocal melody too. Everything is pretty catchy and very listenable considering how much is going on. Yeah excellent!

The intro was very Genesis and then when the vocals come in it has an 80s vibe. Interesting lyrics. All round good performance and song.
