Seems like I have a lot of listening to catch up on!
Standard stuff - Takamine 12 String acoustic, Epiphone casino, Ibanez bass, plus GB drums, keys and synths, all recorded and mixed on the MBR. Was using a few pedals - trying out my new Nobels ODR-1 on the rhythm part (plus compressor and reverb), and the ODR-1 plus a Green Russian big muff on the lead lines.
The sun is shining. The summer is getting closer and closer. The morning brings another Greeny original. From the get go there's that instantly recognizable trademark sound to it. I really like the lyrics. They're really focused. The melodies are strong and there's a lot of ear candy in this song. With several layers of guitars and synths buiding the sound picture. At times it feels like there's almost too much of stuff going on at the sametime, but in the end everything is wrapped together beautifully. Even the outro is a delight.
Another top song. Really catchy chorus, great lyrics and vocals.
The music is really well performed and produced. Like that key change. Love the synths in there too.
Darren
brilliant song great vocals and lyrics loved it , well worth the listen ,......cheers tony cee
I feel like a bit of a spy because I see a glimpse of you that some others might not via the wtf ap....
feels like spring and that grizzly bear (ie the big song "monster" that has been sleeping lately) has woke up and foraging for food...
and that hunger stirred up this cry of hunger pangs...like in "man I gotta let this out"...
all your songs are great...it is just a degree of level of that...so I gotta hear this a few times and come back for details...
but its bloody great right out the gate...
"falling to the floor, falling to your knees, there's no audience and there's no oscar speech.." wow...what lyrics this has...
Listend a few times now, excellent song. Only thing your missing is a slap.love "sorrow go-round", clever lyrics. Outstanding!
Rock on!
Excellent lyrics and vocals Tim...it's a wow moment hearing how you've put this song together! The Epi Casino sounds great and it really cuts through the mix...it's very Beatle George sounding. The bass is subtly doing a solo by itself but without dominating, cool playing. The chorus has that Tom Petty sing along quality to it. The key change for the bridge works perfectly. You've rung the bell with this song!
Another great song, Tim. Masterful production technique, excellent vocals and stellar lyrics. The chords and key changes are beautifully constructed along with great musicianship.
Hi Greeny,
The guitar track is wonderful.
Very crafty use of words. Lyrics are so original.
The vocals is so smooth, and very clear.
Love this.

What a ride! Being originally from the Hollywood area, I can relate to those incredibly creative lyrics. Simply an outstanding song all around; music, vocals, production, everything. Love it! 8)
this song is a perfect example of why I believe SC is worth millions of dollars. Many of the songs are gems and this one is beyond exceptional. To actually get to hear this free and actually get to interact somewhat with the artist is a treasure beyond monetary value. I could see a day long down the road when some person comes along and finds this old network server, and on it is this thing called Songcrafters. As the person starts to dig through it, they stumble onto this song and it resonates with what this individual is going through personally. There is a retro movement of music from the ages past and this becomes worth billions of money piles... and none of us will ever be here to know it! It's a shame the world is missing out on your great songs Tim... I know my ramblings are useless and that people nowadays could have almost zero appreciation for how great this is. The song, the recording, the playing, the sounds, the vocals, the lyrics are all outstanding! BRAVO!
braw brother.
Great song, this is ready for radio play/streaming.
Really well produced. The guitars and synth are really good and so is the vocals and lyrics.
I was actually looking at the Nobels ODR-1 Plugin/VST this week, you convinced me to buy it . :)
Great work.
Absolutely marvelous. Having to listen on the phone at present but will be back to give it the attention it deserves later.
Another Greeny great with top notch music and lyrics.

I've been missing my dose of Greeny lately... Must've missed this one though and my goodness Tim what a stunner! The lyrics cut deep here and the full arrangement is brilliant, those guitars especially sound godly. The bridge is so beautiful too, I love how you can completely change up the whole feel within your songs. As Gallagher bros would put it... BIBLICAL.
YouTube bump!
I missed this when it was first posted. I found out about it today because I subscribe to Greeny's YouTube channel and got a notification. (At the end of every video he begs you to like and subscribe, ring the bell, leave a comment. And then he thanks today's sponsor Nord VPN before pointing into thin air on the left and right suggesting that you watch related videos on his channel.)
I listened to this in mono, in only one year, with my Bluetooth headset, in the backyard, taking one of my dogs outside for one last piss before bedtime. And even with that suboptimal listening environment, I think this has risen to one of my top three favorite Greeny songs.
I especially love the lyrics on this one. They hit a nerve.
I'm going to listen to this tomorrow. More than once. But now I'm going to bed.
Really like that intro...Has a retro feel but isn't dated...Can't always be pulled off but you did
